Bio Photo Find a Grave is an answer to prayer!
My two boys, Husband and Son, are reluctant to exercise. For good health, we all need to get off the couch!
I've been praying for an answer to the exercise dilema when along came Find a Grave!
I have a passion for genealogy and turns out my husband likes to visit cemeteries (reasons yet to be disclosed) and our son likes to read the headstones. As a result, prayers have been answered (Thank you Jesus!), we are exercising through lovely cemeteries and others get to see their loved ones headstones! We call this a "glory moment."
If you have any glory sightings, thank God for them. I pray you have the peace of Jesus right now and throughout today!

RE: E. Jane Goodman?
The marker next to Nicholas Johnson that says "E. Jane Goodman"...I'm thinking maybe their daughter Eliza Jane (went by "Jane" when living) remarried after her first husband Barney Simonson died and that would be her if the dates match. I have a copy of a letter from her to my gggGrandmother (her sister Sarah Johnson Roberts), but it doesn't say where it was sent from.

Yes, they all have Vinny with middle initial P and have her dying in Dearborn County, Indiana. I've usually been faithful about looking up geographical relationships in my atlas, but it seems my husband has put it in a vehicle taken to a different state...sad me...or I would've seen how close they were.

E. Jane Goodman?
Madelyn, the Johnsons had a daughter Eliza Jane who married a Simonson...maybe she remarried? Her dates are Eliza Jane Johnson
Birth: Jun 1831
Death: 10 Apr 1873

I made a memorial for her under the name Eliza Jane Johnson Simonson and requested a picture. If the dates match, but she indeed had a different surname at death, I'll change it.

thanks again!

Oh, Vinny was known about, but thought to have died in Indiana. You've been SUCH a GREAT help!

I'm trying to figure out who S. Jane Goodmann was...thought maybe she was a daughter, but haven't found her yet. Can you read any names on her marker?

WOW, Madelyn ~ how fantastic to see the baby girl's name! And the pictures of Nicholas & Molinda's graves are SO precious to us! I feel like I was hugged to see the area shot where this part of my family lies. Mega gracias, THANK you SO much! Now I'll have to research Vinny to see if I can pinpoint her life any closer ~ :^)

If possible, could you get a shot across the Johnson lot that shows all the graves together? How awesome that would be!

RE: MolindaCloudJohnson/Woodlawn
I'm so grateful to's taken us so long to find them, but a distant cousin had a set of 22 letters passed within the way-back family. I often take picture of markers that I can't read, thinking the picture might reveal something; I get rewarded about half the time so I'd love to figure out who the baby was. I realized grave #1 was missing from the lot with Molinda & Nicholas and wondered who it could be...a baby predeceasing them would make sense.

electronic hugs for your help!

Thank you SO much for FAST response, Madelyn. That HAS to be 48 for her age instead of 18 as her grown children sent letters of notification when she died...then said that "Father" (Nicholas) had been buried later as close to her as they could get him.

How neat to see her name was spelled Molinda (unless something weird happened there as well, but I'll leave it that way)...she was my ggggGrandmother.
