James Walthall
I completed your photo request for James Walthall. Unfortunately, there is no first name/date tag on the headstone for James....only the tag for his wife, Vivian. I posted the large headstone photo. I don't know why there is no tag, since the cemetery office said he is there. I am not a family member, so I can not fix it. Sorry.

RE: Well wishes to you!
Carole Ann,

Thank you so much for your kind words. I have access to records and if your relatives in Eastern aren't on findagrave, let me know the name, and I'll see if I can find their graves, though with the years you gave, chances are pretty slim. But I can at least look and see if they are listed.

No thanks, as I said earlier, is necessary. As for the diagnosis, well, it is what it is, and I've accepted it. Gonna keep living on a day to day basis, and enjoying it.

Thanks again.

Carole Ann, no thanks are necessary. Had to laugh a bit, as I just got the photo today, and you wasted no time.

Thanks so much for your kind words.

RE: Henry Moseley
Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately, Perry Mason or Matlock is not around to get justice served quick. Lol. It is a VERY slow process. I tell myself slow is ok....all t's will be crossed and i's dotted...and there will be no "oops" in his favor. I just want justice while I am alive and I want him behind bars until I am 6 feet under.

RE: Guy Spiller
I read your note about the Marrette-Spiller confusion. A lot of the burials in the older parts of Hollywood Cemetery are in a big family plot surrounded by stone curbing with a stone in the middle with just the last name on it. The family members buried in the plot don't always have a last name on their tombstone. If this particular plot had the name stone, it's no longer there. However the plot has the name Marrette carved into the steps at the front. I added an entry for William Phillip Marrette and put a picture of whole plot showing the name on the
front steps. I didn't see him entered under Spiller or Marrette.

I would like to pick up your photo request but Sparkman Hillcrest (SH) does not like to provide burial locations to volunteers, citing privacy issues. Your cooperation is needed in order for requests to be filled. The volunteers will need you to call SH and request the location. Their phone number is 214-363-5401. Once you have the location, please add it to your request. Thanks.
