RE: Cecil Jones
It was my pleasure. I was visiting in Newberry and had some free time on my hands.

The bronze plaque is a veteran's marker for Cecil Wilbur Jones. There is a photo of the plaque on his memorial at https://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=177022654
I'm not sure if this link will work. If not, just run a search for memorial # 177022654

BTW, I created memorials for Cecil W Jones and the other 5 graves in this group. I do not have a relationship to any of them. If you wish, I will be glad to transfer all of them to you. If so, just let me know.

RE: Otho Wade
Hi Mark

I don't have a ready answer. My source was information I found at an LDS Family Center, I haven't been to Wade Family Cemetery.

If he isn't buried where I have him buried, I will gladly take his memorial down. Let me know.

RE: Wade Family
Thanks Mark, I appreciate you looking into this. I'm not familiar with Virginia counties. Do you happen to know if Goochland Co. and Highland Co. are even close to each other? You are correct in that several branches of the Wade family moved into different parts of KY in early 1800's (KY was part of VA territory and became a state in 1792). I have found some info that suggests there were two, maybe even three, Robert Wade's (Sr., Jr. and Robert III) in my line, all of which may have been involved in the military but I can't positively confirm that.

Again, any information you might have would be so much appreciated. Have a great day!!

Wade Family
Hi Mark. I was reading some of your public messages and saw mention of some Wades in your family. My name is Matthew Wade and I live in Lexington, KY. I've been researching my Wade family history and traced back to my 4x great grandfather Daniel Wade who was the first documented Wade in my family to settle in KY. I know there were a ton of Wades in Virginia pre-1800. So I was wondering if you had much information on the Wades in your family, if you have any Wades in your family that came out of Goochland Co., VA, and if you have any knowledge of a Daniel Wade born in 1788 in Goochland Co., VA. I hit a roadblock in that I cannot determine who Daniel's father was.

I know it's probably a long shot, but no harm in asking, right? :) Have a great day and I hope to hear back from you soon.

Thanks,
Matthew Wade

RE: John and Irene Edwards
You are very welcome! I was there visiting my fathers grave and thought I would check and see if there were any open requests that I could fulfill. I was very happy to do it.

That's going to look really great when you get finished. So glad to see someone who cares enough to put in the work. Thanks.

What an improvement! Thank you. I know all us Gum relatives appreciate your work. It looks kind of lonesome there, doesn't it? Beautiful view, tho.

Just wanted to let you know that the tombstone pic you put on his memorial is just great. You must have a really good camera. It's so clear! Thanks.
