I'm originally from Gretna, Louisiana. I grew up visiting the tombs where my family is buried, roaming the grave yard, reading the markers and imagining the lives of those who have gone before. Now I'm grown up and researching my family history. What a pleasant surprise to find this site and realize I'm not the only one who wanders the peaceful lands that our ancestors rest in.|

May I use the photo's of Frank Ward's momument, that you contributed to his Find A Grave memorial, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
Frank was from Germany but served two years of service in the 8th Vermont Infantry,during the Civil War.
You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

Sorry, I am not able to verify if Frank Ward Sr. in plot 10 of McDonogh, is the father of William Ward Sr. in plot #9.
|C. East||William Patterson Henderson|
Hi. On Samuel's page, his Father is incorrect. It should be William Patterson Henderson born late 1800's.
His mother is correct, Amanda Viola maiden name Mosley, tho on Samuel's page it shows 1940 for birth and death date, should be 1884 - 1940.
Thanks so much for adding so many people! A lot of them are my family.

|Mary Mayfield||Uren Headstone|
Hi Darlene, If you do get to go back in the cemetery and find his headstone, if there are no dates on the headstone, is there any way you can find out his birth and death dates? possibly from Cemetery records, or historical records? Looking forward to your findings. Mary M.

Hi Darlene, Thank you for attempting the photo. Sorry to hear of the locked gates. That really seems strange, unless it is private land. If you do get to go in would you mind taking any other Uren Headstones surrounding Wm. Uren. Thank you very much. Mary M.

I would love a close up of each side of the marker.

Thank you for taking the photo of Bernice Fredrickson's headstone.
