Bio and Links
I am quite interested in genealogy -- I am adopted and have done extensive work on my adopted family - having taken the only work done by a distant cousin in 1976 and expanded it into 8 volumes (one for each of the original siblings of our line) which is presently on file at our local heritage center.
I have also researched family lines of several friends, as well as my granddaughter's paternal side.
I am now in the process of researching my BLOOD line (all of whom I have met) as my daughter is very much interested in this as well. Together we are planning a trip to western PA this summer to do some thorough scouting in the Bedford, PA area.
I am very willing to aid anyone else in search of their ancestry as well.

RE: Thomas john Ross 1738-1813
As you can see by the memorial, I am simply going by the grave marker that lists the sons and daughters of Thomas Ross(1738-1813)and wife Jane ("died Nov. 24, 1914, aged 61 years"), first of which is "John, died July 1, 1856, aged 65 years," therefore, born 1791-92. I made a memorial for this son John, but I did not report his wife nor any children -- only the information on his father's grave marker. Is there something I am missing? Obviously the grave market was made years after the death of father Thomas Ross, so a mistake may have been made. If you have documentation indicating such a mistake, I suggest you report it with documentation instead of suggesting I am providing inaccurate information. I can only report what I know. If I know more, I will gladly add that information.

Mary,
Thank you for all your time and effort. I appreciate the extra info on the family. I knew about the different spellings but the other info, taverns etc. was new and helpful. Have a great day! Linda

Photos of as many of our family members as you can find. I especially want a photo of Sarah Noel's headstone. They spelled her name Sarrah on her headstone. I had a photo and I can't find it. I haven't forgotten about you. I have been busy helping someone prepare a speech on the GAR in Bedford County.

What you see on her Find A Grave profile is all that I know. My father didn't talk much about his family, so what I have learned has been from other relatives or from my own research.
