Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an Alabama native from Marion Couunty, who has had an interest in my heritage since a child. I grew up listening to my grandmother talk about her childhood and her family. She sowed the seed of genealogy that has had a lasting effect on my life. The last few years has been spent on a quest for my Native American ancestry to some success. I also have roots in Monroe County Miss. as this is where my Dad was born and raised.
I am an animal lover and at present have one cat, Boo, who is 12 years old and two kittens, Gray and Freckles . I am also a crafter who works in several areas of crafts. Today, I'm trying to learn more about the Native crafts with hope of helping to keep some of them alive.
I had been working with a friend, helping with Find a grave updates and links for a couple of years before I joined Find A Grave myself, as a way of remembering and honoring those who have gone before.
Some of the lines that I am researching are Riggan, Sanderson, Lewis, Jeffreys, Cummings, Irvin, and Ray.

Jeffreys, Johnson, Bordon, Sanderson
These are names in my family tree. My 5G grandmother was Sarah Lucinda Blizzard Borden. I have been unable to locate any information about her other than here on Findagrave. According to the family history, she was full-blooded Cherokee.

Sarah Lucinda Blizzard -> Christopher Borden ->
Melinda Borden -> William Jeffreys ->
Molenda Jeffreys -> Enoch Johnson ->
Josiah William Johnson -> Lillie Belk ->
Effie Johnson Thompson -> B Wood Thompson

Effie and B Wood were my grandparents.

Any information you have on these families would be appreciated.

Missouri Ann Gray Brooks
My apologies... I should have left more information as to who I was referring to...
I'm the Great-Great Granddaughter of Missouri Ann Gray Brooks, which you have submitted a photo of her gravesite. Are you related as well?

Missouri...
I am the Great-Great Granddaughter of Missouri. Can you please tell me if you are related to her, as well, or are you just submitting the gravesites? I'm looking for verification on her Indian Lineage.
Thank you.

thank you!
Thank you so much for the recent Carter Memorial links and added info and beautiful headstone pictures taken especially at Pleasant Grover Cemetery, Marion County, Alabama. I live in Germany and would not get to see them otherwise. If I can ever help you in any way, for example German-English translations, by way of a thank you. Please don't hesitate to ask. All the best, Debby

John Wise
John Wise was my 4th great grandfather on my motherís side. Would you know if there is any Native American ancestry in the Wise family? I, too, have been searching for Native American ancestry. I found a 5th great grandmother on my fatherís side who was Cherokee. I was recently enrolled in United Cherokee Ani Yun Wiya Nation in Alabama by way of being a descendant of hers. Her name is Sarah Elizabeth Seabolt. Any information you could send on the Wise family (Native American ancestry or other information) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
