I'm sorry to say that all my aunts and uncles are gone now. My mom was the youngest of the 12 children in her family and does not remember anyone talking about the family. She was only 12 or 13 when her mother died. I do have a cousin who has talked about the family. But when I found out that Anna Groover had been married once before she was surpised. So I'm not sure how they explained the Hoagland children. Maybe if we both keep looking we will find the death date for William. Do you have any information as to that William Hoagland who died during the Civil War? Maybe I could get his records and see if Anna shows up in them.

Hi Mary, sorry to hear about your 3rd cousin. I do know whey Jacob&Anna were married. It was October 30, 1875 in Tinicum Twp., Buck Co. PA. He is what was in the Newspaper:
Pg 281-Book, Bucks County Intelligencer Marriages, 1861-1885. Volume 4, A to G, Appeared--Nov 9, 1875, Married--Oct 30, 1875, Groover, Jacob of Tinicum, and Mrs Anna E. White, of Tinicum Twp., by Rev. W.S. Emery.
Source Location-Sprunce Library, Mercer Meusem, Doylestown, PA. I understand what you mean Abt William, I have been trying to find a death date also. I even contact Upper Tinicum Church to see if they had anything recorded, which they did not.

Hi Mary, Well it is nice to meet you Mary. Sounds like we are cousins. Thank you, I did not know William Hoagland's first name. I was never able to find anything on that marriage. Do you know how he died and when? It seems in doing my research and as I uncovered that Anna had been married twice. Everyone in my family was surpised. I guess her children were always thought of as being Groover's and they never talked about it.

Hi Mary, I added the correct spelling of Effinger's name to Anna's Obituary. I typed it that way only because the Obituary listed like that. I have also added a copy of the Obituary. I was wondering are you related to Anna? She is my Great Grandmother, Mahlon Groover is my Grandfather. I see your last name is Ford, are you related to Janet Groover-Ford? Email me if you would like at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to hearing from you. John L. Nelson
