Thank you for your response to my Allabaugh question. Sadly, many small family graveyards were destroyed as you described. Jacob Geil (d. 1795) who was Elizabeth's father was buried on his land about a mile from where I live. A replacement tombstone was placed in early 1900s by a descendant and is the only marker left standing as the later land owner removed all other stones. A subdivision is growing closer to it. Not sure what will happen.

Do you have a public tree available on Ancestry? I would love to match my DNA with you and share info. I appreciate your work on FindaGrave. Eunice Geil Showalter

The tombstones you are referring to are not tombstones but memorial stones for the pioneers. Daniel Sr. my third great grandfather.

RE: Christian Alabaugh
Hello,

Sorry for delayed response, but I have a very massive infection right now.

Thank you for your work on Trissel Church. I'm glad people are taking care of it. Sadly, David and Elizabeth Geil Allebaugh's graves are gone. There was a small church located on their son in law's property. After their deaths, the farmer who purchased the property ripped it all up.

Catherine's separately burial seems very unusual, but I have see that before. I haven't done a lot on the Allebaugh family since 2009 - 2010. Now I live in a small rural town in Alabama and miss the huge genealogy library of Allen County Indiana and it's resources. I believe that was the source of her burial. I cant' remember if I pulled the microfilm on the land records?

The latest info: I have had some genetic DNA matches to other siblings for Elizabeth Geil Allebaugh and on the Showalter side too. I thought that was interesting.

Well my fever is making me very dizzy, so I will try to contact you again.
