Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a 59 year old female , originally from S.E. Mo. , Van Buren on the current River . My dad & granddad were boat guides on the Current most of their lifetimes . Family names would include Reed , Towner , Brown , Huddleston , Jackson , Courtright , Hoagland ,Putnum & Miller .
I now reside in S.W. Mo. , Granby area . I started "Find a Grave" as a way to link Family that has passed but have ended up finding a new interst & hobby of sorts . I love helping connect people with their family members that have passed away and hope to become a more active member as I can . I am disabled and a little slow so please have patience with me as I learn . Would be happy to help anyone that I can .

For those of you who where my moms friend's, I wanted to let you know she is no longer with us. We have lost her to cancer in Oct of 2015. This was one if her favorite sites to be one. Thank you for being friends.

Genealogy Conf
Hey, Kay.. did you know about this genealogy conference coming up this weekend?
It's in Springdale AR, might be further than you would want to come. I am probably going to make it, unless something changes. Supposed to be some good seminars and such.

Sorry, Kay, but I no longer live in Missouri. I'd submit a photo request through this site. Good luck. Anne

RE: Granby area
Thank you Kay. The one I was thinking of... turns out the funeral was south of Granby, not the place of burial. Burial was in Stone Cemetery in Jasper County. When you go north, do you ever go by where 32nd St. comes out on the old Alternate 71 Highway? (North of Diamond going toward Carthage, I think maybe they call it 59 now?) I think it is a couple of miles or so west of that convenience store/western wear place there on the corner. If you ever do, I have a couple of names I'd like to have you check. You can email me direct, too, if you want. I appreciate you!

RE: Family Transfer
Hi Kay -

I'm happy to pass on any information/site that I find. I hope you are able to use them.

I believe that all the Towners in the USA descend from Richard Towner, so I'm sure we're related somehow. I haven't researched my relationship to Towners in Missouri....yet :)

Here's my lineage:

1. Richard Towner (?-1727) [England→CT]
2. John Towner (1685-1759) [CT]
3. Phineas Towner (1708-?) [CT→NY]
4. Abraham B. Towner (1729-1760) [CT]
5. Elijah Towner (1759-1840) [CT→PA]
6. Elijah Towner (1792-1831) [PA→IN]
7. William Towner (1816-1869) [IN→IL]
8. Albert Alfred Towner (1857-1898) [IL]
9. Margaret "Maggie" Mary Towner (1885-1936) [IL]
10. Paul Joseph Allen (1911-1983) [IL]
11. Bonnie Lou Allen (1946-2001) [IL]
12. Me

If you get stuck on something let me know, I'll see what I can dig up.

Take Care,
