In August of 1971, six ladies gathered to work on family histories. In January of 1972 they organized The First Genealogy Society in the State of Wisconsin. We continue to strive for excellence in documenting our family histories. We involve ourselves in our community by providing monthly informative meetings, workshops, and individual assistance with genealogy questions.|
We started our Kenosha County Tombstone Project in 2008. We are currently sending out groups of individuals to photograph tombstones in our Kenosha County Cemeteries.

I am writing to let you know that I also have a memorial to Martin Skolas. If you would like I can transfer my memorial to you, so that you can add the additional information to your memorial. He was my 3rd great uncle.

My grandparents Gus and Emma Smith are buried in Greenridge. Their grave is very near a child named Lizzy Russo who has a picture here. I know it is on the East side across from as I remember an island with a marker for war vets. I will most likely never get back to Kenosha and I would so much love to see their grave again. Could someone please maybe take a picture in the spring? Thank you so very much.

I am writing on behalf of my family to let you know how much we appreciate your setting up a page for William B Rayburn, former resident of Kenosha, WI and retired CEO of Snap On. Your sentiments expressed were deeply appreciated.

I received your suggested change of burial location, however, before I do, is her husband in the same cemetery? If yes, then I will update them both.

Is it at all possible someone might take a picture of my grandparents grave. I don't know the lot numbers. Gus and Emma Smith. He died in the middle 1950's. This would mean so much to me as I am sure my health is not going to let me return to Kenosha. Their graves are off 5th avenue on the east side. There is an island memorial across the street from the site. A child named Lizzie Russo is buried very near them. Thank you so very very much. Suzanne Miller

Thank you very much for the photo of John's gravestone. Your time and effort in locating his grave and then adding the stone to his memorial is very much appreciated.
