El Cerrito
My family founded and settled El Cerrito in 1824. You posted a few headstones of my ancestors. I just want to say thank you.

Dear George,

I wish to fulfill a photo request for a burial at the Romero Cemetery in Bernalillo. I can't find any directions to the cemetery from Rio Rancho, guessing I go north on Hwy 528?
Can you give me any directions? Thank you. My email is

Hi, not at all. I just couldn't figure out how to add the obit and I thought you had to do it as the owner. Things are fine just as they are. Thank you!

RE: Campo Santo de San Jose

Thank you. I did not add this cemetery, since is was on Findagrave before I joined in 2008.

Most to the cemteries I have come across have changed names over the years.

I hope I haven't dampened your interested in adding to Findagrave. I'm sure there are still quite a few cemeteries that haven't be added to Findagrave.

Feel free to add your tombstone photo to my memorials, Findagrave will give you credit. I'm in Virginia and haven't gotten to New Mexico to take photos.

Campo Santo de San Jose
Mr Huggins,

Someone sent my an e-mail and asked why there were two cemeteries with the same names in it.
One was campo Santo de San Jose, which you just added in August and one is Saint Joseph Cemetery in Anton Chico, New Mexico, which has been on FindaGrave since before I joined in 2008.

When I joined in 2008, I actually called the local Funeral Home in Anton Chico, and asked if this was the correct name for the cemetery. He saind it was San Jose Cemetery, and now was called Saint Joseph. I have added all my husband's relatives in this cemetery, Sanchez and Nelson's, which you have now duplicated in your Campo Santo de San Jose.

Most of the cemeteries online on Findagrave reflect the currant name of a cemetery, and a brief history on the many names the cemetery was before this. A lot of cemeteries have changed names over the years.

This cemetery was online before I joined in 2008

and most of the people there are related to my husband. I don't think you can add the same cemetery under a different name.

I'm writing because I have put a lot of work in finding my husband's relatives in New Mexico.

You may have to find who added this cemetery online in the first place, I don't know, it was before I joined

I have added how my husband is related to everyone, I use the name Joan of VA

Please let me know how to work this out.

Many Thanks
Thank you for the time you have taken to document the El Cerrito Cemetery in San Miguel County, New Mexico.

My great aunt, Gerolina Edwena was there and I wish I could tell you the emotions I saw being able to find out her birth date because of your efforts.
