Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy finding 'requests' for people and I retain high resolution images on my hard drive which I am happy to send if requested.

Please feel free to use any photos I have taken as part of your research. I am not precious about ownership. It is nice to hear from folk who like my images, however.

RE: at Wheatley
And thank you for your appreciation.

I did, in fact, link John Austin with his parents, who are mentioned on the other sides of the kerb (his sister and her husband are the ones on the "book"), and transcribed the inscription, but the administrators are going to have to approve it first. If you wait for a day or so, it should appear.

As a matter of some slight interest, the vicar's daughter's father (183152766) is buried on the other side of the church. I have yet to write an account of his rather sad demise, but shall do so in the morning. Then I am going to have to change it in a month or so, as I can't see her keeping her present job for much longer. Whether that is a good thing or a bad thing I shall leave you to decide.

All the best,

Iain.

Colin, that is interesting. I am always amazed when reading about buildings and people going back so far, especially when I am related to some of those people. We are fortunate that so much history was recorded and preserved.

Thank you for sharing this with me. I added the link to Giles Tidmarsh's page.

RE: Re : Eccleshall Church
That's fab, thanks ever so much! Great pic of the headstone for William & Annie Plant. I suspect the lettering will be pretty unreadable before much longer. At least now it is saved for ever, even if only on here!

Hi
Thanks for the message,
I did know about the site you mentioned which is where I found the transcripts for Sarah, Ann & James but I am hoping that the gravestone is still there
