In my quest to document my ancestry for my family and preserve our photographs and stories in a manner that could be shared, I started on Ancestry. I began to see a more personal reflection of our ancestors on findagrave. Because of volunteers on findagrave I've found family past and present. What a joy to find my great-great- grandmother on findagrave and connect those dots to my bigger story! |
I love history, but when I see history unfold in my own family that's amazing. We are the wealth of the English and the poor of the Irish immigrates during the Irish potato famine in 1845. We are ministers, farmers, dressmakers, police and a few thugs. My people were patriots in every conflict from the Revolutionary War to the Gulf War. We are the Toman's, Cullison's, Smith's, Gordon's, Linsdale's. Campbell's, Abrams……we are related to the King of Scots, George Washington, Christopher Gist, Daniel Boone, Caleb Smith, Johann Gottfried Orwig and maybe you! Connect your dots. <><
As a Daughter of the American Revolution volunteer, I have proofread and digitized more than 8,600 cemetery records from 1934-1978, for Crown Hill Cemetery, Sedalia, Mo. Volunteer today!

How sweet of you!! Which cemetery is your family in? If you need any transfers, don't hesitate to let me know. My goal is to get them up to be found & with a family member! :)

Awesome! Thank you so much!! Will have to look at what I need.
By digitized, do you mean to F/G or some other location/medium? My husband has numerous relatives in that cemetery as well as surrounding. Would be interested in additional info if available. I have many of the memorials for his family. Kim

Thank you for such a quick reply, that was sure fast and I really appreciate your kindness and your time in getting this photo for me. The photo is a beautiful one. Photographing the surrounding graves was so special of you and I know it will be extremely helpful. Thank you so much!

LOL! Thank you Susan for all your hard work. When I was trying to figure this all out, I had no help when I first started, and now...we are connected, I mean just look at facebook! I'm happy to have started this with Allen, Bob, and Sandy. We are a little family in the world working together! Or at least some of us are. ;) I love all of you! I'm glad we can be reconnected again. If there is anything I can do to help your search, please let me know.
Love your cousin,
