Bio

Find A Grave serves as a great tool to memorialize those who preceded us. I am thankful for volunteers who've amassed a large number of memorials. Thank you!

I find my role involves further developing a few memorials by adding elusive details. Furthermore, by understanding the family unit, and then being able to show this singular individual now lies among family members, adds a sense of completeness to their legacy.

Since retiring from the Air Force, I've expanded my photography hobby in documenting headstones. As I document a headstone, I pay particular attention to details. Are the headstone lines vertical or is my image slightly tilted? My family finds humor in the little kit I carry consisting of grass snipers, whisk broom and other non-destructive plastic tools I use before taking each photo. But rest assure, I treat each headstone as the last testament of a treasured family member.

I don't mind if researchers use my photos for non-commercial purposes, but please properly credit the photo and link back to me or my website.

If you have a question or edit, please send me a note. Before editing a memorial, I always try to ensure I have a source for the change. If you are providing an edit, please don't be offended if I inquire about the source. I find, months later, someone will inquire why a specific field includes a fact. I'll work to share that fact, thus source material becomes a method where I can pay it forward.

It's been said that everyone dies twice. Once when their body dies, and a second time when their name is spoken for the final time. With this, I find this righteous work!
