Browne - St Johns Burying Ground

You have requested an image for Elizabeth Downes; I would like to help you, however I am unsure of what you were hoping for. St Johns Burying Ground closed over a hundred years ago. Itís a playground today, with only one monument remaining. I have included a link to the NYC Cemetery Project.

oops--they're already photographed:

FYI, your stone (132168938) is behind the one pictured in 132168952.

Same plot.

RE: 132168938
My pleasure! Sorry it's not such a good photo, but the stone is barely readable. I do believe it says "Gordon Topliff", though, arching across the top of the inscription.

By the way, there are other Topliffs in the lot, too. If you're interested in a photo I took one:
Gurdon Topliff 1794-1854
Hannah Stevens (his wife) 1790-1840
Roxann (their daughter) 1820-1857

Best,
D.
