Mary Elizabeth Seimet
I just found an error. I am looking at the Ohio, Diocese of Toledo Parish Records for New Bavaria, Henry, Ohio and on page 154 of the Baptism records it shows Mary Elizabeth Seimet as daughter of John Seimet and Josephine Gustwiler (spelled many ways: Gustweiller, Gustwiller, Gustweiler) and she was born 30 July not the 10th of July 1887. This can be viewed on Image 159 page 154.

Seimet graves
Hi Veronica,
This is Helen Lehman. John Seimet who was married to Mary Ellerbrock first married Josephine Gustweiler. He married Josephine 12 September 1885 in New Bavaria, Henry, Ohio. They had two children. You have a find a grave for the first: Nicholas B Seimet born 10 July 1886 and died 10 July 1886 and his Memorial # is 22018632. However, I do not see a find a grave for Nicholas' sister or his mother. His sister is Mary Elizabeth Seimet born 10 July 1887 and died 1 December 1887 in New Bavaria, Henry, Ohio. They are buried in the same cemetery. Josephine Gustweiler was born 21 April 1862 in New Bavaria, Henry, Ohio. She died 16 December 1887 in New Bavaria, Henry, Ohio. She is buried in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Her parents are buried there as well. Her father was Sabastian Gustweiler born 20 Jan 1820 in Germany and died 30 August 1882 in New Bavaria, Henry, Ohio. Her mother was Mary Schoemann born 10 June 1827 in Germany and died 12 September 1906 in New Bavaria, Henry, Ohio.
Josephine is one of 5 Gustweiler children. All of this can be found in the Sacred Heart Church records. If you have any problems finding the information let me know. Take Care and God Bless you Veronica, Helen

RE: SEIMETs in Henry County
Thanks, but no thanks -- my only SEIMET connections are by marriage, and i've got way much work just tracking down all my BAUER, WESTRICK, DIETRICK/DEITRICK & LAUBENTHAL rellies. There are a number of families in that area, who originated in Switzerland. If you need translations, send them along.

SEIMETs in Henry County
I may have more info for you -- am currently browsing the parish records of Sacred Heart Church (New Bavaria). If you want me to keep an eye out for other surnames, let me know. Also, if you should need any German translations, have been trained in that language (Church Latin, also).
