Just found your listing for Allen Chapel in Morton, MS. You have a couple of family members listed that I have been searching for. Can you tell me where in Morton, Allen Chapel is located. I am not familiar with it and I have lived in Morton all my life. Thanks.

The cemetery is on Dickerson and just north of the entrance to Skyline Hospital. Skyline is only about one (1) block north of the ramps to I-65 and Dickerson road. The cemetery is on your right side as you proceed north and across from the nothern most entrance/exit from Walmart. They are mining rock just below the cemetery. You will see a smooth stone face where rock has been quarried and to its left the hillside is covered with large stones (rubble). The cemetery is not visible, but is only about 30-40 yards above the rubble and at its left (north) edge.
My cell # is (615)430-7875. I will be in church from 10:15a til 11:45a today (Sunday), but would be glad to aid in any way I could. I live only 2 miles from the cemetery and am trying to garner support to turn the 2 stones that are face down now.

You added a very nice photo of my uncle Howard. Would you be related to him?

That's fine--good to know you are involved in this activity. Just returned from a visit out of the country.

Thank you so much for adding the memorials for Uncle Nig and Aunt Ella May. The pictures brought back so many memories when I saw their faces. Diane Pemerton Knight
