Thanks so much! That is a much better picture - and I really appreciate the close-up! If you ever need something from Josephine County OR, let me know!
|Old Joseph||RE: PVT Thomas Owens FAG #158202497|
I am happy that I could be of assistance. I found the listing of Pvt. Thomas Owen's name in the Richmond Cemetery Inventory of Burials. This morning I will scan the three pages in the inventory book that cover the Union soldiers whose remains were removed to the Camp Nelson National Cemetery in 1869. I will send the PDF document to the email address listed in your FG profile. I am telling you this in advance in case your spam blocker intercepts my email and attachment.
I live in Kentucky and am planning to travel to the Camp Nelson cemetery (hopefully this year) because I have several gravestone photos that I wish to take there. If I can locate Pvt. Owens' gravestone I will get a photo and post it to his FG memorial.
I have transferred Pvt. Owens FG memorial to you.

I saw your photo request for him in Huntsville City Cemetery, but there are already two photos of his stone, added in Dec 2012. Did you need a different shot?

Kelly; Thank you. I passed your information on to my husband. We are both surprised and dismayed. I guess we will have to contact the Fir Lawn administration to see what it takes to have a headstone put up at this late date. We really appreciate your time. Wendy
