RE: Peter Blaser - Bloserville
Hello Christine,

The Blosser family is a tricky family to research since the spelling of the last name has changed through our history. With Peter Blaser (b. 1703), then with his son Christian I (1748/1749) they changed it to Blasser with 2 S's when they moved to New York from Pennsylvania. Then sometime in the 3-4 generation (in America) they changed the A to an O and it became Blosser. I have found distant cousins who spellings also vary. I have a page with all the variations of the Blaser/Blosser name. A lot more of them are related than most people realize. I would be willing to help you, you can email me at
