Bio
I live in north Knox County TN and photograph primarily in the adjacent Counties. All my FaG photos can be copied and used as needed. If the option is available, use e-mail to communicate with me instead of FaG messages.
In conjunction with my FaG photography, I am currently (2013-16) helping with a project to document the location and condition of East Tennessee Civil War soldiers' graves and markers.
To Photo Requestors: I try to note and comply with instructions you addd to photo requests. If I don't, let me know and I will retake the photo.
To other photographers: Sometimes I take a 'bad' photo but don't realize it till I get home. Feel free to post a better photo over any of mine. You are FAG's feet-on-the-ground. I admire your will to do whatever it takes to find and gain access to cemeteries; face sunbaked, frozen and wet conditions; combat bees, wasps, ticks, spiders and snakes; placate curious, dubious and occasionally irate people; and, with with your brushes and digging and pruning tools, cut or dig out a photographable view of markers. It is a job for determined workers. (Did I mention mosquitos, chiggers and poison ivy?)
To Memorial Creators and Managers: I note differences between the memorial and marker surname using the 'edit' page of the memorial. Fixing surnames makes the memorial findable.
Sometimes I 'survey' an entire cemetery. If I find graves that are not in FaG, I create memorials from the information on the markers. Provided a 'good' reason, I will transfer memorials. Provide no reason and I will follow FaG guidelines.
