Mike, your memorial is a duplicate of one I created in 2012 #90667488. Would you delete your entry to correct? Thanks, SMFrench

RE: Haman family
I remember we had tried to connect our Hamann families, have you been able to for sure connect these families?

Hi Michael, did any of your family go by the name of Golding?

Hi Michael,

Jacob is my second great grandfather. I'd love to chat if you are also a descendant of his, as I've really only researched his son John's line.

RE: John Garfield Golden
Hi Michael,
I am pretty positive about the marriage date of 1860. That information came from the Long Grove Church marriage records.

I wonder if John Golden might have been a widower with two children when he married Louisa. That, however, is pure speculation.

Sometimes on old census records different families lived together due to the fact that one family was hired as servants for another family. Unfortunately it wasn't until later that census records showed the relationship between household members.

All I know is what I've shown on my tree. In addition, I have a family tree chart that was put together for the Golden family reunion in 1929. There is no mention of either of these two other children.

RE: John Garfield Golden
I am not related to John Golden but I share some distant lineage with his wife Louisa. She was my great grand aunt (I think), as she was the sister of my great grandfather.

Unfortunately I have no light to shed on where or whom they would have been living with in the 1860 census.

I'm sorry I couldn't be of any help. Thanks for asking, though.
