Have a great day
|JFGW||Transfered Everett's page to you|
Goldie, just saw your request this morning. Happy to give you control of Everett's page - did it just now. Can I use stone pic and photos of him for my Family Tree Maker file? Good to hear from you. Judi

I transferred it.

You are something. What I have is what is showing on ancestry, if and when, there is documentation proving that data is incorrect then I will change it to reflect the new data. But until that happens it stays as it is.
Do you have any proof to support your verbal claims...I have asked before and you don't. Just because you say it, doesn't make it accurate. Show me the proof.

There are 3 Matney cemeteries listed in WV...2 in McDowell and 1 in Wayne county. None of the cemeteries list Short. Do you think your friend can determine which one has Short?

I live in PA, so going to the grave yard isn't very practical. So will you upload the pictures?

Where are the photos Goldie?
Yes, Goldie, please find me on Facebook. I am on there as Judi Wilson in Concord NC. Since we share 2 family names, I'd be interested in talking to you about them.
If I am the one who put someone in the wrong cemetery, please write me back. Otherwise, you should go to the memorial page for the person who was put in the wrong cemetery. At the top right of that page is a tab labeled EDIT to click if you have corrections or additions. Once you click it, you can send a correction message to the person who posted the memorial.
You can also see the screen name of the member who posted it at the bottom of the memorial page. He's the only one who can make a change to it unless he has transferred management of it to someone else, such as a family member or descendant. If so, you will see more than one name at the bottom of the page.
If the person who posted the memorial hasn't responded to your edit/correction request after a month or so, he may no longer be on Findagrave and has abandoned his posts. If so, you can write to firstname.lastname@example.org with the correction information. Be sure you tell her you wrote to the poster and he didn't respond. She'll check the poster's profile activity and determine if they have abandoned their membership. If he has, they will make the correction for you. You might want to ask her to give you management rights to it, if you are related to the person on the memorial. Don't know if they will, but I'm sure they'd rather have a relative maintaining it instead of them.
Findagrave will allow you to link the parents or spouse of any memorial you post. If someone else has posted a page for the spouse or parents, it may require communicating with them through the EDIT tab and asking them to link a parent or spouse for you. You can also ask them to transfer the memorial to you to manage, if you are related and they aren't. Most members will do that if you ask. This type of communication also allows you to meet members who are internet cousins and are related to you.
Glad to help. Judi Wilson

When I get conformation of another burial site, then I'll make the necessary correction.
West Virginia FHL Film # 800216 states he is buried in the Matney cemetery. So until you prove otherwise, that is what it will show on his memorial
