I take pictures of everything. It captures that special moment forever.In the past few years I have had the opportunity to go through my grandmothers old black and white pictures. I wish I would have been able to do it with them rather than after they had passed. It was an amazing feeling to be able to connect with them. I recently went to the Porterville Cemetary to visit some loved ones who have passed and didn't get to see Uncle Louie as we didn't know location and office was closed. I got back to AZ went on this site found found his grave...BAM! I have now been able to see the resting spots of my loved ones that I cannot travel to. Thank you to all contributors for your hard work. It IS appreciated.|
I live in Lake Havasu City AZ and if there are any requests for pictures let me know and I will do my best to get them for you.
This is a great community~thank you

It is not an non existing cemetery; it just has been duplicated; actually triplicated. Linda

You may want to remove Margaret Hall and Charles Nance. There is already a Hillcrest in Find A Grave established some time ago with over nine thousand graves. I don't believe you want them hanging out there by themselves. I checked and they were not in the other Hillcrest so just re-establish them into the established Hillcrest. I have done that in the past when I first start out. I probably did the other blank Hillcrest that is also in Find A Grave. Go check it out. Linda

Thanks regarding Halsel. Linda

Did you realize that, up-to-a point, one can go on line and check the cemeteries to see who is buried in them? Check out Vandalia Cemetery, Porterville, Ca. Same for the other Porterville cemeteries. They don't have them up-to-date but they are pretty good. Linda
His memorial #91891793

No dice. My suggestion to you is to put all the information you have about little JL on Scotts memorial to him and delete yours. That is the right thing to do. Also, in the future, double check to see if there is already a memorial to an individual. Sorry. Linda

Is his mom's maiden name Halsel or is it Halsey, #46899087? Find A Grave has it as Halsel and SS death index has it as Halsey. Linda

Email me the information or link so I can get it for you.
|Susan Porter||RE: transfer|
Well, if transferring memorials to family members is all it takes to make people happy, I'm happy to do so. You'll take better care of them than I could. Enjoy!!
There is a trick to it in locating plots at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens. The blocks were not laid out very neatly and can be confusing as to which direction to go. There are placards in the ground that identify the locations by blocks & lots.....not the grave spaces.
I have an aerial map I've created and have indicated the layout for the blocks that help to genarally locate the blocks. I'll email you that map for your future use.
I am currently working on a spread sheet that will have every current burial listed with plot locations....I'm up to the last names in the "S's". FYI- there are several burials that do not have any gravestones or markers in the ground.
