I am a retired librarian who enjoys spending my time on genealogy & tramping through cemeteries, when it isn't too cold nor the snow is too deep.|
My family names include: Hansen, Olsen, Behling, Erdmann, Nielsen. My husbands: Kappell, VanderLoop, Wolfinger, Heiting, Brooker, McGregor.
If I have created a memorial for someone in your family, and I am not family, please request a transfer.

Just wanted to say thank you to you for all the work you did to find the records of my grandparents. I am a grand daughter of Otto and Myrtle who stumbled upon this site while helping my grandson with a school project. Thrilling is the feeling of seeing all this information in one place!! Thanks again, Joan Erdman Frederick, Markesan, WI

Peter was my grandfather (Leonard Hendricks') 1st cousin, Peters father (John, the oldest of 4) was the only one to Marry using their original name of Verbockel all the other Verbockel children took their step fathers name of Hendricks.
I have joined up on FamilySearch.org which has led me to your photos on this site. interesting to see how my family spreads out.

|L Evans||RE: Added photo for Elsie Pape|
You added a photo that you found at an antique store and sent the following message to me:
Added photo for Elsie Pape
I added a baby picture of Elsie Olmstead Pape #107796676 that I found in an antique shop in Door Co. WI. Because you had added the obit for Elsie, I was able to return the picture to her granddaughter! On the back of the photo is written:
My baby Elsie Fay Olmstead. Rhoda P. Stuart Olmstead. I note the obit has her middle initial R. and the entry has O. I am not family, but just wanted to share this beautiful picture.

I would like to personally thank you for going the extra mile to post the photo and to make sure the photo was given to family member. I am certain that her granddaughter was very pleased by your kindness!!.
Thank you for contributing to Findagrave.

|Bonnie VanDeHey||Infant son Lee Vanderloop|
Pictures are added. How do I find Jay Wilpolt's site? I've heard of him but am not sure what he does.
|Bonnie VanDeHey||Vanderloop family at St. John, Little Chute|
Iíve added those photos for Henry and Ella. It would certainly seem that the infant would be their son, but you never know; itís always worth checking. Did you notice the spelling for Gardina/Gerdina? My husband is not related to the Kappell family as far as I know, but you never know that either. Iím just a photo volunteer. I like to pay back all the photos others have taken for me. I always take photos of other markers in the same plot because the requester may not know about those. Happy searching!
|epesch||Mary Holderegger headstone photo|
Linda, I can't thank you enough for tracking down the headstone for Mary Erdmann Holderegger and taking a photo! My husband and his siblings will be thrilled, she was their 2x GG.

|Caroline K Andler||GAR lot Memorial Day photo|
Linda - Thank you for the photo of the Memorial Day flags placed on the GAR lot at Forest Cemetery! Though George Hammer's grave has no marker, it shows he is still being remembered and honored as a Civil War soldier.
Many thanks. You are greatly appreciated by the relatives who can't travel to the grave site.
