Born David Leslie Gray, July 25, 1946, in Kansas City, MO, to George Leslie Gray III and Ann Elizabeth Gray. Ann was born Audry Ellen Converse, but changed her name as a foster child. I have two younger brothers, James Michael Gray, born Sept 11, 1948, and Richard Lee Gray, born Nov 3, 1952. We moved to Libery, MO, in 1957. I graduated from Liberty High School in 1964. I attended Missouri S&T in Rolla, MO, graduating with BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering in 1969. I was on the track team, and belonged to many school organizations. I was married to the former Linda Sue West in 1967; we had one child, Michael Lee Gray, born Sept 22, 1967, in Kansas City. I joined the US Air Force in 1969, and completed basic training at Lackland AFB. A few weeks later I was accepted for officer training, completing that in April 1970. After attending some technical schools, I was assigned to Kirtland AFB at the Weapons Laboratory, where I worked on the Airborne Laser Lab. I left active duty in 1976, but stayed in the USAF Reserves as an Intelligence Officer, retiring in 1989 with the rank of Lt. Col. In 1976 we moved to Huntsville, AL, for an Army Civil Service job at Redstone Arsenal, where I worked on ground-based laser weapon applications. I became divorced in 1980, and left Huntsville in 1983 to take a job with Lockheed in Albuquerque, NM. I had custody of Michael, who graduated from high school in Albuquerque, and attended college for a few months before returning to Alabama to live with his mother. In 1987 I married Jacquelyn Louise Procter, who had been born in Las Vegas, NM. We moved to Sunnyvale, CA, in June 1987 to a different assignment within Lockheed. While in California, both our children were born in Mountain View: Leslie Ellen Gray, born on March 11, 1990, and Jeffrey Donnell Gray, born March 24, 1992. In 1992 we moved to Huntsville, AL, to accept a business development position, still with Lockheed, working mainly programs in missile defense. I retired in 2002, and in 2004 I became divorced again; this time the two children remained with my ex. After consulting for a year or so, I moved to Tennessee and built a memorable house. At my 40th high school reunion in 2004, I re-connected with Cheryl Dean Allen, who had been a classmate. She was living in Liberty, taking care of her mother's house and working full time. After long-distance dating for two years, we got married in Liberty, and she moved to Tennessee, but both of us always had long-term plans to move back to Liberty some day. In 2012, we bought a house very near Liberty, but in the K.C. city limits, and plan to move there as soon as our house in Tennessee sells. My oldest son, Michael, lives in Keller, TX, with his wife, Dorothy, and their daughter, Deanna.|

|Meg Wiley||RE: Additional Info|
Nice to hear from you! I'd be glad to have additional info from you, especially if you see anything incorrect or missing from memorials on this site. A lot of my information came from the "Gray Family Heritage" binders that all of the Chester H. Gray descendants have (and you probably have as well). I am a great-granddaughter of Chester H. Gray Sr. My grandfather was William Ralph Gray Sr. and my mother is Mary Ellen Gray Wiley. Take care!
