I am an elementary school counselor in Indiana. My son plays football for DePauw U. My daughter is a DePauw grad. . |
I love history and am happy to contribute in helping others put together the pieces of their genealogical puzzles via find-a-grave. I very much appreciate the work that others have done here before me, which has been so helpful to me in learning about where I came from. Not many people understand our interest in this form of history and the rewards that go along with being a part of it.
A few Find-a-Grave memories are finding some graves in the mountains in Colorado with my daughter, photographing a pioneer cemetery near my school, taking photographs in a cemetery Ireland and finding 14 relative's (including six 4 x great grandparents) final resting places in 6 cemeteries, all in one day, thanks to the work of other Find-a-graves work!
Thank you to all who help us solve these mysteries of our pasts.
Blessings and peace! - Lore
Please note: Should you see any relatives you would like to transfer, please don't hesitate to let me know via the edit screen on each memorial. I will not transfer from emails or public messages, only via the edit screen on each memorial. Thank you!

Many thanks for taking the time to find and photograph this headstone for me. It is very much appreciated.
Just wanted to thank you for your time and for finding this memorial. We really appreciate it!
I'll have to look into getting more information on her sons. You've helped move our family history forward!
All the best,
Thank-you for taking a picture of the headstone of David Willis. I really appreciate it.

Thank you so much for the directions to Maria's headstone. That was so sweet of you. My sisters and I will plan a trip to Crawfordsville sometime this summer to actually see her gravesite in person.
Again, I can't thank you enough for what you are doing. It means so much to those of us that are trying to find out a little more about our family heritage.

Hello again--We never were able to find this cemetery. We drove hundreds of miles [2 different trips] trying to find it. Several trips to the library in Crawfordville didn't prove fruitful except to find a listing of those interred there which we put on findagrave. We did find a description of the location of the cemetery, but still couldn't find it. We were told it is on private property in someone's backyard, but the individual who told us that was unwilling to share the location. If you do go and find it, please take a picture of every tombstone in it. I'm guessing you'll get only one chance. Thanks for your inquiry and good luck. J. Smith

Just wanted to thank you for taking the time to find and take a picture of my Great grandmother's headstone, Maria Elizabeth Edwards. My sister's and I have been to the cemetery, but were unable to find her headstone. This means so much to us. Our dad was adopted and Elizabeth is our dad's biological grandmother. We have been trying to find out as much info about our heritage as possible. This is one more piece of the puzzle. Thank you, again, so much. This is a wonderful thing that you are doing to help others.
