Hey Alexis, good to hear from you. It is FamilyTreeMaker. Though it is heavily linked to ancestry.com since it is now owned by them, I have never trusted them with all the data my brother started collecting because it was his wish that it not be shared for fear of abuse. By getting a membership in Ancestry.com, it lets you sign on and helps you find census and death records without you having to give them your data. With this, FamilyTreeMaker becomes a great tool as it gives a comparison screen with what you have in your tree along side research results from Ancestry.com which helps you verify and match your data with others without having to give up your data to the company which they turn around and sell for profit. The Boone data I have by the way is all linked in the family links here on FindaGrave, at least as far back as my tree goes. We have a problem of getting back to a "John" Boone with no middle name and can not prove records beyond a certain point. There were just too many "Johns" in the area at the same time. Through "family links" on FindaGrave you can build your tree with all the data that I had, it is just no viewable in one single web page.
