Bio and Links
Bio Photo I'm almost 70 years old and a widower. I currently work as the Hospital Service Coordinator for the DAV Transportation Network at the Coatesville VA Medical Center in Coatesville, Pennsylvania.

I love working on my family tree as well as my late wife's family tree. I'm also writing a book about Civil War Veterans who either lived or were buried in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania which is proving quite interesting.

I was born in Camden, New Jersey and moved to South Dakota with my parents who were missionaries among the Sioux Indians there when I was seven years old. I moved to Pennsylvania to go to Bible College in the late 1960's and have lived in Pennsylvania ever since. I was in the Army breifly during the Vietnam Conflict and I'm a Vietnam Era Veteran.

I have accepted your update and also added the obituary. Double check the birth date, and let me know your thoughts on the dependency. I'll make a note about that one way or the other if necessary.

Henry/Harry Benner
Hi Al.
Great to hear from you! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I appreciate the info on my gg-uncle Benner; however, my grandfather always called him "Uncle Harry", and he seems to have used Harry on most documents after the war. Also his memorial stone uses "Harry". So, for now I am going to keep his Memorial page as is. Thanking you again for the kindness.
Best Wishes Always.

RE: Ancestry Birth Calculator
Its actually part of their family tree maker product. You can find others online, just do a search for tombstone birth calculator

RE: Thomas Jefferson Gault Memorial #57717437
Al, I have family records indicating nov 27th. Also, if you use the ancestry birth calculator using death date and age at death, the result is nov 27th. Don't need to try the math, many free online calculators, all result in nov 27th

RE: Abraham Kepperley
There is also a marker for him at Mount Gilead, so one of these is a cenotaph. Are you certain the one in Gap isn't the cenotaph? After all, he did live in Perry County for some time.

RE: Julia Lisan Metzger
I agree with your assessment of death certificates. As for marriage records, try church records. I really can't budge on the name on the memorial as per Find A Grave guidelines. If it doesn't read exactly what the tombstone says, I'll get edits from people telling me I made an error. As a compromise, I can put Juliann in as a nickname and then it would show in the search field. What do you think of that idea?

RE: your recent edit. I can not accept the change in the first name because it does not confirm to Find A Grave guidelines that state the name on the memorial should be the same as the name on the headstone. As for her maiden name, the death certificate posted on the memorial lists it as Lisan. Your information in her bio already tells the reader the maiden name was listed as Leisen on the ship manifest. At this time, I going to leave it as Lisan. If you find more information, let me know and I'll consider changing it to Leisen. Personally, I think your right and it should be Leisen but the evidence is not conclusive. See if you can find a marriage record. Good Luck!
