RE: Throckmorton Cemetery / Oklahoma
I believe it; a lot of the stones have deteriorated heavily. Even a military stone there was nearly illegible. It's likely the elements eroded the name.

However, it should be noted that the cemetery was surveyed by the Okmulgee Historical Society in the 1970s. They documented every legible stone at that time, and Mr. Arnold was not on their list of legible stones. So if someone found it and could read it in the 90s, they may have had excellent deciphering skills or already knew exactly where it was since the historical society members did not find it 20 years before.

RE: Throckmorton Cemetery / Oklahoma
Hi Cheryl, I apologize for my late reply. I have reviewed the photos I took at the Throckmorton cemetery, and unfortunately I was not able to locate one of the fieldstones with any markings that resembled the surname Arnold. I'm very sorry for that. I may be able to venture out that way sometime in the future, and if I do I will stop by again and doublecheck the various fieldstones there and make sure there isn't one that has the surname Arnold. I was, however, pretty diligent about photographing the ones that had any semblance of legible markings, including ones I thought I might be able to enhance with digital techniques. So I am not very confident that I will find something else, but it is possible. If I am out in that part of the county again sometime I will make a stop.

No, Cheryl, I am not related to John Cummings or to you. You already have a message from me on your message page dated November 14, 2016 concerning this memorial.

John and Agnes Cummings
Hi, Cheryl; No, I am not related to either John or Agnes. They are buried in the Trinity Center Cemetery, and I took it upon myself to establish memorials for all the folks who had no memorials. I researched the records for information to add to the memorials so that they were not just names and dates. There is a lot of rich Trinity County history buried in these graves, and I wanted to bring some of it to light.

Hello Cousin
Thank you so much for the photo and obit for Charlotte Louise Bahr. She was my 2nd great-grandmother. My great grandfather was Gustave. I think he was buried there too but no evidence of his grave..or those of his brothers John and Franklin. Eugene is buried in Oregon (close to me).

The obit is a little confusing. Not sure who C.A. or Henry are?

Again, I do appreciate all your efforts--Mona

Your welcome. The caption on the monument is hard to read in the photo, but I did write down what it was and posted it in the comments. Best I could do.
