Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in New Jersey to Donald Millard and Anna Mae Allen Millard, but moved at the age of four with my family to the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I lived in PA until I was 21, when I married Jim White and moved to Kingston, New York. Both of our sons, Greg and Chris, were born there. We moved to Boca Raton, FL in 1994. In 1996, we moved to the Austin, TX area and have been here ever since. Jim died March 5, 2011, and is sorely missed. I spend a lot of time on my family tree research.

Charles Duffield Greeves
Hi Terese. I need to ask about the Bible page. Did it belong to Charles? Could I have a copy of the page, please? Thanks!

I'm sorry I have no records or proof of his parentage for you. I have only the work of others. Besides his middle name being his mother's maiden name "Duffield," he named some of his children after his parents and siblings. That is all I have.

RE: Common threads
Hello Terese! Pleased to meet you, and thank you for reaching out to me! I am the great-great grandson of John Allen and Sarah (nee Thomas) Allen. I believe John's father was Thomas Allen, who, according to family lore, was from Wales. I have been researching our family tree for quite some time, and I always welcome new information. Keep in touch, Terese, and happy hunting!

RE: Transferring memorials
That's what it's suppose to do, like I said in the other post to you, it worked out fine, the formal way of asking for a transfer. Just use that way if you ask someone else for a transfer.

Tansfers
You now have more of your family with you Teresa. The link you sent me worked out just fine. That's the way you'll have to do it if you request a transfer from someone other than myself. If you want any more transfers, just send me a link. Sincerely, Robert Miller

Annie transfer
You now have control of Annie and your dad. Treat them well for they are a part of your ancestors. I always say that when I transfer someone. The way you sent your request was fine with me but if you were to ask someone else, this is what you'll have to do. In the upper right hand corner of the memorial you want, you'll see an "Edit" button. Click on it and when the next screen pops up, just follow the link for transferring a memorial. I usually tell people to use the "Make a suggestion" link and then state in the comment section how you are related to that person and would the poster transfer them over to you and then send it. According to Find-a-grave guidelines, you can only request a transfer of a person no further back than your great grandparents line of relatives. If you want to check out the correct line, just look for the answer in the Q&A section on the main page of Find-a-grave. If you find another memorial of mine you want, you can try the formal way of doing it on me. Sincerely, Robert Miller

RE: Thank you!
Yes I am one and the same but please do not use my name at the library because I have a legal issue with them over my obituary database. I am also in the process of writing a book about the 104 years of local newspapers that I read in 12 years to make that database. As for transfers, anyone who has memorials on Find-a-grave, like you, may transfer them to anyone, although some posters are strict and will only transfer one of their memorials using Find-a-grave guidelines. I'm not like that, so when I saw your flower on your father's memorial, I just decided to transfer him over to you, no questions asked. If you would like me to transfer any other memorials over to you, just let me know and I will tell you how to get it started on your end. I had two friends that once lived in Texas, one in Orange and the other near Brownsville, sadly they're both gone. I await your answer about the memorials. Sincerely, Robert Miller
