Bio and Links
I have been doing genealogy since the early 1980's and finally published my Hukill family genealogy 2 years ago. I was able to go back to 1666 here in America. I retired from the Shipyard in 2010 and enjoy my horse, garden, quilting and genealogy.

Nadine Alma Girard Bierly #110873033
Greetings. I have just submitted an update for Nadine through Find A Grave's edit feature. Just wanted to let you know that Nadine's actual maiden name is Lillie, and not Bierly. Nadine was married several times.

For her bio: Daughter of Marvin Lionel Lillie & Rosemary Ellen Snow. She was the wife of Remsen Thomas Gravatt & Franklin Edward Girard.

The information for this Pearl Mapes is not lining up well and I wondered if you had any insight on it. The parents were married 1892, but this tombstone looks like it reads that her death was 1890 and that she was aged 3 or 8 and M or Y. It is hard to read. What did it look like to you? Either way, it doesn't line up with the census records that indicate that Pearl Mapes, the daughter of Luther and Carie Mapes was born Nov 1899 and was in the 1900 census. It also indicates that Carie had 3 children and 3 living, so it would not be a previous child and then naming another one later after the first died. What makes the most sense is that they put the wrong year on the tombstone. If it were July 1900, then she would have been 8 months from being born in November of 1899. A sibling has a similar issue with a birth record for 1890, but census 1893. Trying to cover births before a marriage? I'm not sure what the truth is on these. Any ideas? Thanks!

Thank you! Thank you! for taking pictures! I appreciate it. This line connects to my husband's family. His 3rd great-grandfather was Bennett Pratt who was father to John Ebeneezer Pratt (Dee's 2nd ggf) & Araminta Pratt (married to Guilder. So you would be 2nd or 3rd cousins with my husband and once removed to my 6 daughters. :-)
Nice to make a connection! I would love to find more about Bennett Pratt if you ever find more.
Thanks again for taking pictures and for responding!

RE: Garnier
I don't remember where the obits for homer and marie garnier are at.

Your 2nd great grandmother Elmire Katzenstein was sister to my 3rd great-grandfather Joseph Augustine Garnier buried in Rosita Colorado. Augustine daughter Leta McDonald was Gary McDonald grandmother.

Can you send the obits again? Please...
