Bio

I began my genealogical research in 1992 through the help of my cousin Richard Gliddens who stopped by my ancestral farm one August day. Although I had wondered about my family background for many years, I did not do anything about it until meeting Richard, who introduced me to "The Glidden Family History." That started my addiction. Now I have fairly extensive family trees for both my wife and I. I have had a life-long love of history, so family research is a natural love, and as a retired high school English teacher, I truly enjoy preserving family history and sharing my findings with others. So whenever I locate someone connected to my family for whom I can locate the appropriate burial location which is not yet on the FAG cemetery listing, I add a memorial with as much data as I am able to locate. I always try to be accurate, but I am certainly open to changing any error and adding any additional information anyone cares to offer through the EDIT format. I have ancestral roots in New Hampshire and Indiana; my dear deceased wife in Ohio, Indiana, and North Carolina. My ancestors were at Salem, MA, during the Salem Witchcraft Hysteria, and remained for the most part in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Maine, while my wife's ancestors were truly American pioneers, moving through the Cumberland Gap into Ohio, Indiana, Michigan, Iowa, Kansas, and beyond. find my family trees on Ancestry.com.
