Family
Yes, we are related, I've been meaning to reach out to u. As a little girl my mom & dad would go to Willie & Ada's to play Pedro (card game) on Saturday nights & Mary Jane (my grandfather's (Ollie) sister lived next door in that big old house next door, she was so sweet. I need to become friends with u on FB, I have a family album of the Barnes u might want to see, copy any u want or I can tag u in, also I'd like to look at your photos. I also have a big family album with all of Mary Jane's brothers & sisters & Mom & Dad for my personal self if your interested that's not on FB, We'd have to meet somewhere for u to look at. I should have contacted u sooner, but I got so involved in the family research I couldn't stop!! I also remember when Willie & Ada lost their son, Dad tried to spend more time with them, he thought alot of Willey, when Dad & Mom lost their son they were never the same, that day stayed with them till their last day. Hope to hear from u soon.

Paarents of Mike O Wooten
There is no question that William Andrew Wooten (born 1831-1834) and Mary Sawyer were the parents of Mike O Wooten (along with Cora Emma Wooten b.1858, Mary J Wooten b.1859, Manerva Wooten b.1863, Owen Wooten b.1864, James Henry Wooten b.1865, Nettie Wooten b.1869, Tullie Wooten b.1869, Mattie Lee Wooten b.abt.1875, Gus Brown Wooten b.1875, Thomas W Wooten b.1879 and probably a couple of others). These folks can almost ALL be found in TN Death Records listing their parents as Andrew Wooten and Mary Sawyer. Mollie married to Andrew Jackson Wooten and living in Macon Co is an entirely different family. Every record of Andrew Wooten (married to Mary Sawyer 11 Sept 1856, Williamson Co) with the above children used only Andrew Wooten except for one that lists the William as the first Given name together with Andrew. All of these folks lived in Williamson Co except some eventually moved to Nashville. Most were married in Williamson.
Almost the entire family is found in the 1880 Census of Williamson under the name of A. Ooten, Dist 15, Williamson (spelling mistake by the Census Enumerator).
Elizabeth Wooten is found with Andrew Wooten in the 1860 Census of Williamson and also in the same 1880 Census mentioned above.
These families are highly intertwined in Williamson Co, often with 2 or more folks of a generation marrying brothers or sisters of another family.
Someone researching these families just made a oversight, which is so easy to do and all of us have done a similar thing, because of the name of Andrew Wooten from Macon Co. But the dates and other family members do not fit. It is virtually impossible that the many children would not have used the name of Mollie for their Mother is that was her. And I notice than no Tree lists WITH SOURCES that Mollie was a Sawyer, although several Trees state she is without any proof.
The Wooten family of Williamson seems to be very secretive and very difficult to follow. Some of the families had a lifestyle and experiences that make this not very surprising.
In the next few days I will post a updated Ancestry family Tree (Clayton, Moore, Bearden, and Graham) and a Date AFTER Aug 5, that will have most all of these folks with extensive Sources that prove all the statements above.
Walter Clayton.

Wooten family
I have been researching the Wooten family for a friend and I question this Mollie and Andrew Wooten buried in Macon, TN being Mike's parents.
Look at the age difference. I think Mike's parents are William Andrew Wooten born about 1835 and Mary Sawyer. I can't find a grave for them. Could they be buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Williamson Co., Tn where Mike is buried? In this cemetery is a stone with Mary Jane Wooten and Elizabeth Wooten.
Could Elizabeth be Mike's grandmother? I found Andy and Mary with an older Elizabeth Wooten in household, I thought would be his Mother.
