|Elizabeth Davis||RE: Utica Haydens|
Thank you for the excellent (and accurate) information. I have edited my wording on several memorials and "stories" on ancestry. If you have anything else about the family, please let me know. -Elizabeth
|Elizabeth Davis||Utica Haydens|
Deirdre, I have Charles Hayden Sr. (Rev War Vet) married to Molly Hall whose son Charles Jr. was (only by location and age) the judge mentioned in the "Utica Rescue" on http://www.oneidacountyfreedomtrail.com/Abolitionism/UticaRescue.htm
Charles Sr.'s pension application does not mention Elizabeth Hayden Redner, but she is the precise age to be his daughter plus she lived where Charles Sr. did when she was a newlywed and also lived where Charles Sr. died (according to his pension app.) As far as DAR goes, this is not proof, but it's enough of an idea that I'm putting in out there in case a family Bible or other publication can help some day. Do you have any details? The Historical Societies for Oneida County and for Rome had no info on the Haydens.
