I am quite new to genealogy and when I found the 'Find A Grave' site, I managed to connect with Patti way out in Oregon where my great-great uncle is buried. I knew I needed to pay back somehow. I hope I can contribute to help others who can't make the trip to this area to see for themselves.

You may already have this information, but according to her marriage record (to George Hopf on 26 Oct 1865 in Sheboygan):

Her father: William Maher
Her mother: Mary Maher

However, her name was recorded as: Anna GRENOLD, so she likely had a previous marriage.

(I am not related. I researched George as part of a larger project on the Veterans Cemetery in King)

Thank you for the photos!
thank you for the Voss photo's you provided.

Gottlieb & Christina Voss are the parents of the people you provided headstones for in the Bethel UCC Cemetery at Herman, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin.

They were both born in Germany, immigrated with their children 10/18/1853 arriving in New York, USA.
Then traveled to Wisconsin & settled in Mosel Township, Sheboygan County, WI.

They would have died before 1880 in Wisconsin & probably buried in this cemetery. Currently, no record of their burials has been located online.
Is it possible that you could check the cemetery records for these people & photo their stones if they still exist? Or at least record where they are buried?

Thank you-js (I live in AZ, that is why I cannot do the research myself)

RE: Koeser photos
Hi Carol
The Carl Koeser picture I believe I got from a fellow researcher, but all the other pictures in the Louis Koeser family I got from a family member. My mother-in-law's mother was a Koeser.

Tohl family photos
Thank you so much for all the photos you took in Saran Church Cemetery.

Thank you, too, for uploading the photo to William J Tohl's memorial.

You make me happy and grateful for all the wonderful Find A Grave photo volunteers.

Bless you

RE: Strassburg memorials
I am sure you know more about the Strassburg family than I do. Have transferred them to you. Happy hunting.

Thank you for taking the time to take a picture of "Christianna S. Scholz" headstone and posting it to this site! She is my 4th Great Grandmother and I live in Missouri, so I really appreicate it.

If you happen to know what it says at the bottom of the headstone and/or know a contact at the church can you let me know?

I can translater the information from German, but can't make out what is at the bottom...

I'm hoping to contact someone at the church that would be willing to look up a confirmation date for me, etc.

Thanks again -- Ken

Buried elsewhere.
Found Fr.Fessler and have asked for a transfer so I can add information.

Sister M. Boiface Ermels is "on" as she is buried near her parents at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Monterey,Neb.. Two of her Sister/sisters are at Manitowoc.

So, that is where I am with the buried elsewhere list but I shall continue hunting another time.

Reese or Resse?
Hmmmm. Reese seems correct but an obit or courthouse check might solve the issue. The stone is strange. Is it a crack or an error with correction? Another puzzle!
