RE: Peace-Pope Family Cemetery
Your welcome. I very much enjoy doing this. I thought I got a picture of all of them. There was one that was broken and tied with rope and a pole to keep it upright. It was probably the oldest and very hard to read. I can read Peace on it. Did he have a middle initial of K? If you send me your e-mail, I will send you the pics I took of it. Maybe you can read it. I tried enhancing it many different ways, but still cannot read it. I'm only visiting this area and not sure I'll get back near that area. If I do, I will look again.

Vergie "Chandler" West
I took photos at Taylor's Chapel Cemetery today and could not find Vergie. However, as I was uploading the picture to Roy Kenneth West (her son) I discovered her first name is Lula. I'm not positive, but I think I remember a Lula in the cemetery. May or may not be her, but I'll check the next time I go there.

J M & Minnie Edwards
In reply to your query concerning the above memorials in Bankhead Cemetery - I have never been to this cemetery. I just entered the memorials from a transcription with the permission of the transcriber. However, I did some checking on familysearch and ancestry. The memorials are that of Jeff & Minnie Dean Edwards. I have added what information I found to their memorials. They had two young daughters there also and I have linked them with their parents. There is a Charles W Edwards listed in this cemetery, but born in 1913 rather than 1925. I was not able to find anything on him or Marie B Edwards who is on the same stone as Charles. From the photos of Jeff & Minnie's stones, I would say it appears they are near each other. If you would like to have the memorials transferred to you, please advise by using the edit tab on each one. Sorry that I have no further information. Hope this helps though.

Lewis Headrick.
I transferred this memorial to you because I do not live in this area anymore. If I have any other memorials in that cemetery you would like to manage just let me know.

Steel Minor Family Cemetery
Hi David

I visited the Steel-Minor Family Cemetery today and took pictures of all the graves that are marked (12 existing). Only John & Elizabeth Steel and the Lidell (2) graves are actually marked. The others have only rough stones with no evidence of engraving ever having been done. One other grave is obviously that of a child (above ground crypt). Again, it is not engraved but the size would indicate that it may belong to either D. Nast or Ziadai Nash.

I took a picture from the gate that shows the cemetery as it looks today and you can see the varied sizes of the stones that were used as markers. There is a larger stone which is leaning against the fence (not shown in the cemetery shot) that has apparently been moved and just propped up.

I will resize all of the photos and will email them to you direct (and will mark the request fulfilled) and you can decide how you want them to be displayed. There is no specific marker indicating the graves of Amanda Steele Collins or Ruth Lidell.

The tombstone for Elizabeth Steel shows her birth date as Nov 2, 1791 (not 1790 as listed in her Memorial).

If there is anything else I can do, please do not hesitate to contact me. The cemetery is not all that far from my home.

Send me a message with your email and I will forward the photos directly to you.

Edwards Bertha
I can not tell you anything about Mr. Edwards. I can tell you that she bought her single lot in her name in 1989. Other than being the dau. of William Farris & Susan E. Cohen Roach, I know nothing else about her.
Blessings
