If you have non-private information to add to one of the memorials I manage, send it through the "Edit/Suggest A Correction Form." All information must be in the public domain and not copyrighted. Per F.A.G. policy, printed obituaries are copyrighted and can not be cut and pasted into a memorial. Also, names of surviving relatives and friends can not be included in a memorial biography without specific permission from each of the individuals named. Don't send in obituaries from websites or newspapers as those are copyrighted. The obits I include are from public sources or are re-written by me.|
If you would like a memorial transferred to you, we go by the F.A.G. guidelines of four generations. Again, use the Edit/Suggest A Correction form to ask for this. Don't be disappointed if you don't receive the transfer but you can still ask and if you don't get it, you can still submit information to be added to memorials as long as it meets F.A.G. requirements and restrictions (read the FAQs a couple of times to learn what you can and can't do). Please do not ask for transfers on my personal message board.
When you look around Find A Grave you will see many memorials that ignore and blatantly violate the TOS of this site. I will not do this even if requested by family so please don't ask me to put living relatives' names in the memorial and please don't ask me to include an obit from a newspaper or website. I can and will include general information about a person if you send it through the Edit/Correction form.
Thanks and God bless!

My Uncle Played in a Local Swing Band The Gene Kellams Orc.Who most of the members were From Edinburgh Indiana with Mr. Alpert who was from Indianapolis during the years before he became famous in the Mid to late 1930's My father told me the story back in the 1970's about Mr Alpert being in the band with my Uncle I always wondered whereabouts of Mr. Alpert after his years with the Glenn Miller the other bands he belonged to.I have been a member of Find A Grave for a few years And just sitting around I was listening to some Glenn Miller music And was doing searches of Miller Band members and I finally found out Where Mr. Alpert had ended up. I put 2 and 2 together and saw that You wrote the bio and also knew Mr. Alpert personally that must have been very interesting to have know him personally I wish I would have been able to have found him before his passing because I would have liked to have talked to him about his time in the band with my Uncle Boyd Gill Thank you for posting the entry for Mr. Alpert that answered a Question I had in the back of my mind since I was a young man...... Chris

THOUGHT I'D SEND YOU A LITTLE UP DATE AND CORRECTIONS FOR YOUR INFORMATION ON KEN.
KEN ONLY LIVED IN GAINESVILLE FOR THREE YEARS, HE GREW UP IN JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA, GRADUATED FROM ROBERT E. LEE HIGH SCHOOL. JOINED THE NAVY AND WAS STATIONED AT NAS JACKSONVILLE. HE THEN MET JOHNNY TILLOTSON AND PLAYED WITH HIM ON A LOCAL TV SHOW. AFTER BECOMING A MEMBER OF THE FOLKSTERS HE MOVED FROM ST. AUGUSTINE TO NYC.
MY UNDERSTANDING FROM KEN WAS THAT HE AND KATIE HAD DIVORCED HOWEVER HE WAS LIVING WITH HER AT THE TIME OF HIS PASSING. HE HAD BEEN LIVING WITH MY WIFE AND I PRIOR TO THAT, IN JACKSONVILLE, BUT WE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO MOVE UP TO THE MOUNTAINS OF GEORGIA AND HE MOVED TO OMAHA TO LIVE WITH KATIE.
HOPE THIS HELPS.
STEVE, KENS YOUNGER BROTHER.

I was happy to assist. Best wishes in your future searches, etc. Sorry for your great loss too!
I was wondering if you can tell me if Audry is still living. She is the daughter of Morris Whitehurst. She went by the name "Peaches" when she was young.

Thanks for the post on Janny Grein. I was searching for some of her music online and did not know that she had transitioned to glory. The passing of a christian artist is usually not as publicized as much as a secular artist, which is usually treated with media saturation. I remember her wonderful songs from the 1980's and hope to find some for sale/download. Thank God for the joy that is to come for all who believe and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ!

Thank you for leaving the flower and adding the pictures to Lenny's memorial. Are you a friend of Lenny's? Just a question. Lenny was a friend through not close. I had received some additional information concerning his bio and was surprised to find changes in the memorial which was there. If you would write me at my listed email address it would be appreciated.

I have no idea if we could be related by the name Hayes. I can tell you that my G.G.G.G.G.Uncle was Rutherford B. Hayes, the 19th President of the U.S.
