Bio and Links
Bio Photo The first time I found my great grandfather Ludwig Glashauser and great grandmother Mary Glashauser on findagrave, those 2 names were the only Glashausers in St. Mary's Cemetery (Altoona, Blair Co., Penn) that I recognized. From there, I researched all the Glashausers in St. Mary's Cemetery until I could figure out how they were all related.

I am also researching my great grandfather Charles Smith (Vermilion, Ohio), he was the youngest of 8 children, and his wife Sophia Kiska was the 2nd of 10 children -- that's a lot of relatives!

I look forward to continuing on this journey and hope to connect with many distant cousins and relatives along the way!

Your distant relative
Melanie, My name is Linda Dohanos Smith. Sophia Kiskas' sister Anna Roselin Kiska Palmer Cooley was my grandmother as well as my great aunt. Perhaps you have seen some of the pictures I have posted. I visited Anna and Herbert in Magadore, Ohio. Anna later married her brother-in-law Seymour Cooley, my grandfather. It was nice to see you and the picture of your family.

he had a brother ralph who served in the army, a brother joe, served in the navy and a brother fred, who also served in the marine corps

I'm so happy that you are ok with it. I worried about it. If it were me, I would want to keep it as accurate as possible. From our correspondence thought you would too. Glad it all worked.

No headstone is seen, but you may want to contact the cemetery to see if a stone was actually placed, or if it is hidden from view, as sometimes happens especially with flush stones.Telephone: 216-421-2665, Fax: 216-421-2415

RE: Zakrzewski
I don't think so. My grandfather was the only brother to leave Poland. I am in contact with my relatives in "the old country" too. Sorry.
