Sorry for the delay in responding. I had to do some checking for the info on Mathilde Bonin Figueron. Here is an abstract of her obit as I received it:
January 05, 1967 [this was Thursday]
Gueydan – Funeral services were held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. for Mathilda Bonin Figueron, age 90, at St Peters Catholic Church, Gueydan, with internment in Rayne Catholic Cemetery.
[Apparently, Mathilda died on or about 03-04 January 1967.]
Mrs J. C. Laravia of Gueydan
Adopted son: Maxie Navarre of Gueydan
Sister: Malina [Melanie] Bonin of Gueydan
Brother: Leo Bonin of Gueydan
Meaux Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements
This is all the information in the published obit.
Thanks for the permission to use your pics!
|Sebastian||Emelie (Constantin) Bonin|
You posted a lovely photo to the memorial I created for Emelie (Constantin) Bonin.
It turns out my memorial for her was a duplicate. The original memorial for Emelie (Constantin) Bonin is here:
She was buried as Emelie Constantin.
Please move your copy of this photo:
to her original so I delete my duplicate.
I sent all of the information I had gathered on her to the creator of her original memorial in hopes that he will update.
Thank you kindly.
Most have to do with the Bonin line. In particular, from-through Louis Bonin & Emilie Constantin (my 3rd great Aunt). My paternal grandmother was Melanie Constantine of Pierre and Adenise Istre Constantine, going back to Jean Martin Constantin.
My main interest in the Bonin family is for a Tennessee Constantin cousin that I began working with several months ago, who has a closer relationship than I to the Bonin family.
I also have a connection through Charles Derbe Bonin and Anastasie Dugas from-through Anastasie. (2nd cousin, 5X removed). My maternal grandmother was Oureline Dugas of Adam and Odelia Smith Dugas, then going back to Nova Scotia and Abraham Dugas and Marguerite Doucet and then on to France from there.
Both of us are working on private trees with no intent to use them publicly. Just something to pass on to our children.
Just wanted to say thanks for all the pictures you have added to the Bonin and Constantin families! My grandmother is a Constantin and I have little to no pics of that side of my family, but have found several that you have shared on Find A Grave. Is it possible for me to add your pics to my family files? ChezaRayne

up as soon as I can..
|Deborah Daigle||RE: church point|
Does Elma's death certificate list her place of birth and death?
|Deborah Daigle||RE: Elma Leger|
Oh. I thought it might be on the death certificate.
|Deborah Daigle||RE: Elma Leger|
I'll make the corrections to Elma Leger. Do you know who her husband was?
|CJ||Sidney Barbin Debellevue|
He is buried in St Peter's in New Iberia per his obituary - which I would find a bit more accurate than an unknown burial location (other memorial). His death certificate is available at the Archives in Baton Rouge. Feel free to join our Avoyelles Parish Research group on facebook.

|James & Jennifer Hoffman||Bruderer|
My wife's Grandmother is Madeleine Ruth Bruderer Brown, and we have extensive record of the Bruderer ancestry. We have recorded most of it on Ancestry.com. We are new members to Find-A-Grave, but will likely get more involved as we continue to work on genealogy.
