RE: Claude Van Loo - Graceland Mausoleum

Hello Susan,

I agree...possible but improbable. The plaque with the dates that seem to be legit came from a room with plaques all over the wall. The other one that was in the case, was probably affixed to cremains. By the way, I'm no relation whatsoever to Claude or the Van Loos. Graceland Mausoleum was a project of mine a few years ago, but I'm involved in new projects these days. So, if you're inclined to call Graceland and pose the question, feel free.

Regards,

Mike

Claude Van Loo - Graceland Mausoleum

Hello Susan,

You're right the name, birth and death years are the same, but the months and days are completely different and the plaques are in two different physical locations.

**

Claude Van Loo
b. Sept. 8, 1808
d. Oct. 16, 1978
Location: Upper Level - Northeast Corridor (Cabinet bet. Rooms L & M)

**

Claude Van Loo
b. Jan. 18, 1908
d. Sept. 8, 1978
Location: Upper Level - Southeast Corridor, Crypt X

**

So, strictly speaking, they're not duplicates. I see that there is an obituary in the 9 Sept 1978 Grand Rapids Press for a Claude Van Loo. Are you family? I would like to clear this up, but I need more information as to why Claude Van Loo is
memorialized in two different locations with two different set of dates.

Regards,

Mike Cronk

I found a death certificate for Claud E. King with a wife of Elma Douch at seekingmichigan.org - this may be of interest to you.

RE: Washington Sheneman
Hi Susan,
I added an additional photo of the headstone to Vera Belle Sheneman's memorial. It is shared with her parents. Franklin added a photo to Washington's memorial on 4/17/2016.

REBECCA KAAKE GREENBURY
HI Susan,
Just curious as to how you related Andrew Keck to Rebecca Kaake GREENBURY.
Although there are several mis spellings thru out this family.

Alice Maxwell Brookshire
Alice was married to John W. Brookshire, not Oscar. Also I added their death notices and both Alice and Oscar has the last name as Brookshier. The SSDI also has Alice's as Brookshier.
