In each family there is one who is called to find the ancestors; to put skin on their bones and make them live again, to tell our family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. We are the story tellers.

RE: Leonard Waite
Hi Pishaw,

I do not know a Leonard Waite and doubt he was related to my family.

My mother's father, Sam Waite (Find a grave number 10601277) is buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport, CT. He had four brothers: Fred Waite (who came to America), Herbert, Horace and David. I believe that Herbert, Horace and David remained in England. I do not have any other information about Sam Waite's brothers.

I put a lot of flowers on the postings and feel that all should have a flower.

RE: Herbert Waite
My mother's maiden name was Waite. Her father had four brothers and one of them was named Herbert and I believe that he died England. Otherwise, I do not know him.

There are a lot of Herbert Waites listed on Find A Grave, so I am not sure what one you are specfically referring to.

If I have posted a flower to the posting and you object to it, I will remove it. Please let me know what Herbert Waite you are referring to.

Thank you for honoring Alan Turing today. He doesn't get very many flowers.

bio Garnet Rogers Horn
HI Kathy,

The information on the grandparents of Garnet Rogers Horn is incomplete. Her maternal grandparents were Michael and Marie Shorrel who are buried in the Shorrel plot at Oak Grove Cemetery in La Crosse, WI. Theresa Shorrel Rogers (Garnet's mother) is also buried there.

Garnet Horn's paternal grandparents were Granville Rogers parents as listed.

RE: Jacob Ritter
Hi Kathy,

My wife is a descendant of Jacob Ritter. I have a photo of his gravestone I can upload. Are you related to Jacob?

Thanks,
Chris

I added your info to her bio. I was also able to find a newspaper article that said the traffic signs had been removed from the highway as repairs were being made and that this contributed to the accident, according to the coroner's inquest.
