Bio
I was first introduced to FindAGrave through Ancestry.com when doing research for a photo book I was working on covering the ancestors and descendents of hy husband's parents. Several volunteers throughout the US took photos for me to use in my book. I was so overwhelmed, I became a volunteer and am determined to "pay it forward" in any way I can. What better way for a senior to enjoy the fresh air, get exercise and at the same time do something productive with their time! On beautiful days, I set out with my camera and head for a cemetery. If I make any errors please do not hesitate to let me know. I will gladly transfer any memorials to family members.
Having just read very disturbing posts on the Find A Grave Forum site, I feel compelled to make an addition to my profile. When I take pictures of headstones, I am doing this for the family members of the person for whom the memorial was created. I am not doing this for personal gain. If anyone wants to use the pictures I have taken to add to their Ancestry.com family tree, please feel free to do so. I do not consider them MY pictures. I thought the purpose of this site was for the sharing of information for now and in the future. I want my photos to be found!!!
The fact that other "volunteers" feel enraged that their pictures are "stolen" is frankly beyond my comprehension.
