Thanks for your help. I probably will need it again as I am just getting started on this. Do you know if there is a memorial for Ancil Stearns? I couldn't find one. Also, my grandmother told us that her family had Native American blood. Have any of the Stearns/Starnes ever mentioned that?

I saw your name on the memorial for Sarah Stearns. I am doing some family research, & I am a little confused. My mother wrote that Barbara Ann Starnes Donald was my great grandmother. She was married to Hugh Donald. One of my cousins says that her name is Stearns like it says on the memorial. However, if you look the siblings listed on her memorial # 66644628 have the last name of Starnes. The memorial has a picture of the headstone with Hugh's name on it with the correct birth/death dates, so I know I have the right person. I only have one picture of her, & I never met her. Plus most of the elders in my family have passed away. So, I don't really have a family member to ask. I could use any help that you could give me. Thanks!

Thank you so much for all you do ! Thanks for finding my Great Grandma and taking the picture of what is left of her stone. My family also thanks you for doing the footwork in filling in the blanks in our family tree. I sure hope to go to Texas some time and do more of our family tree. My family on my Mother's side are all from Texas and they have there own small cemetery , it is a hard to find family cemetery off the road somewhere a family member whom I have never met found it and I hope to someday to be able to visit , it is named after the family name , The Preacher Cemetery. So until I can spend some time in Texas I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the "from the Heart" work you do . May Jesus Bless you and your family ! Susan

Good morning. We met yesterday at the cemetery. I just wanted to tell you again how good it was to meet you. I came home & told my husband I met the sweetest woman. It was interesting to know that you had approx. 80 family members buried in the cemetery. The website I mentioned yesterday is called 'texasgravestones.org' I hope you found it. I will be starting it shortly for Pecan Cemetery.
