|Bio and Links|
Ray & I began "seriously" researching our family histories in January, 2012. In the spring of 2012, I discovered the Find A Grave website. The links and bios on this site provided "missing pieces" of our family histories. We sincerely appreciate the hard work and long hours of many "contributors"!! Since then, my focus has been to identify, link, and add "bio" information to family memorials. I view "links" as a way of reuniting scattered family members. Most Find-a-Grave contributors with whom I've communicated have been wonderful collaborators - willing to make corrections, add links or transfer memorials.|
Genealogy research is very time consuming - requiring hours of individual work and communication with others. I believe the success of Find-a-Grave occurs when many individuals cooperate to preserve and celebrate family histories. Posting a memorial is the first step. Then, it is important to properly manage the memorial by adding links, photos, and accurate bio information. By working together we can find and maintain records of our ancestors - preserving history and keeping their memories alive.
The names of families I am researching include: Howe, Osborne, Bushfield, Erskine, Condit, Fryer, Hart, Herget, Harr, Lyons, Payne, Tibbals, Winter, Leitch, Oswald...the list keeps growing. Ray's families are: Cassel, Hawk, Farnsworth, Worth, Wells, Coen, Clark, Dunlap. We are also researching: Uhrlaub/Arkell - Korth/Thewke - and Bennett/Dell'Angelo.
You are welcome to copy and use any of our posted memorial pix for genealogy purposes. We try to be as accurate as possible - generally requiring 2 sources before we enter bio information. But, errors do occur - if you find a mistake, please contact us.

I do not know the Blumentstein family. If you are related and would like to manage the memorials, I will transfer. Are you looking for other names in the Council Bluffs area? I see the cemetery has Carl & Nettie Cassel.

AJ & Ray,
You're quite welcome; it's a pleasure to assist. If you think there is a chance that there might be a permanent grave stone there at some point, let me know and I will check back periodically.

Would you like me to transfer James E. Fossett to you? Just let me know.
I am willing to transfer most on my memorials.

Hi! Not related to Charles Northcutt Jr., but transferred his memorial to you since you are related. Have no additional info to share.

Dear AJ & Ray Cassel,
Thank you so much for your notification of the duplicate memorial I had created for Dustin E. Niemeyer. My apologies for creating the duplicate, I did not do it intentionally - but must not have adequately checked prior to creating it. I have deleted it. I send you my deepest sympathies on the passing of this beloved dear young man.
May God bless you and yours,

Good luck on your research on the Oswald family. I was fortunate a Rev. Charles E.C. Oswald wrote a book in 1907 on the family back to Henry Oswald. My grandmother was listed in his book having been born in 1896. This book has been a great resource in the families who descend from him.
I did find one mistake but compared to all the other correct entries I have verified I consider it a great book.

I have transferred Carrie to you as she is not a member of our family.
My Oswald family descends from Henry/Henrick Oswald who came from Switzerland and ended up in Lynn Township, Lehigh County, Pa. which was probably Bucks County then. I have some who moved to Berks County but most were from Lynn Township. My great grandfather left Lehigh County and came to Harmony, New Jersey where my great grandparents married and worked as farmers. That farm is still in our family.
