RE: Wash Woods
Hi Joy,
I wish I had more info on your relatives at Wash Woods but everything that I could turn up is already on their pages. After my wonderful adventure to the Wash Woods cemetery, I searched for everything that I could find but info was hard to come by. If you have anything that you would like to add to any of the pages, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Any time. There's no reason for others to get confused like I did on my first run out to Renville county. Besides, that's no fun - it's more fun to find the graves!

If you'd rather look first, just let me know - if no luck or time, I can pick it up when I'm fulfilling again in the area... If she is at St John's on the north side of Fairfax, the church in town was a good contact to find a grave in the past for me - saved lots of time (and some weary old legs) :)

I'll add Myrtle to both locations. I'm hoping to go to Renville at the end of the week, weather permitting. I'll check. I always end up in circles in Renvile co no matter how prepared I am. I search in one cem for the persons requested and find them in the next or vice versa and backtrack... Thank goodness for google maps or I'd never find some of these little inactive country cems!

The St John's just north of town off 4 or the St John's SE of town S of 19 on Cty 27?

oops sorry, I meant hwy 19, not 212. There is St Johns Lutheran just a little N of Fairfax and then west. It might show up only as St Andrews Catholic, but having been there, the Lutheran is the hook to the East (closest to hwy 4). You mentioned hwy 3? did u mean hwy 4?

There is another lutheran cem just southeast of Fairfax - St Johns (again) on cty 27, a blacktop sorry to confuse - I go through this anytime I'm fulfilling requests for Renville Cty.....

Maybe, this is on a 'travel at own risk gravel road' - the only other thing on the road is a few turkey barns. The road is just S of 19 - if you know the cemetery is there, you can see it from Hwy 212. Which town is this cem N of? Both Bethel and Cairo are S of 212.

Just a few questions on your photo request. Cairo cemetery is a little confusing on Findagrave - there are two cem's a few miles apart that someone has 'joined' on findagrave. The Cairo where you request appears in an old cem - very few stones and also inactive. If I remember correctly, there was one stone since the 1950s near the SW corner of the cem (opposite the big stones in the pics). Could Myrtle be in the Bethel Methodist Cem? This cem is also referred to as "Cairo" in Findagrave - but when I was there, it was still active and souls included the 1800s to just a few years ago?

Thanks for any idea you may have (glad to photo any other family members I find if I know the names) - it just helps me plan a route when fulfilling requests that are a ways from my home.
