Bio Photo My Name is,Robin Starr Strader Carr

I am a native of Wilson County ,Tenn.
I actually stumbled into this,by doing research on local family history, and Historic Family Cemetery's.
The majority of my F.A.G stones are related to me ,I live close to and visit many of the cemeteries my family and ancestors are buried in. I have a passion for preservation.I firmly believe in knowing for certain or actually laying eyes on the stones you claim. The majority of all my stones I visited. I know for a fact that they are at the lace I have listed.

I absolutely "Love" old things,old history,old houses,old places,"old people',and the old stories.These things fascinate me!
I get highly interested in the details of the people behind the stones, not the # of stones,or grave findings you can get,but the detail put into the individuals and their related families, and tying them into our past....finding the connections..remembering those who came before us.
Preserving our history, and family heritage, looking back in the past to see where we stand now.Not letting these cemeteries grow desolate ,so other's can knock them over ,and erase history as though it were never their, for the sake of progress.Honoring those who paved our way,w the respect and acknowledgement they deserve
. Thank You.
I simply "love " history. How do you know where your going? If you don't know where your from?

George Eli Brown
Could you please tell me if your gg grandfather George Eli Brown was married to Nancy E. Loftis. I have a marriage date of Jan. 26, 1874 in Bedford, Tennessee but cannot prove that he was her husband.
Thanks,
Nancy Loftis Smith

Robin,
I did not receive an email from you.
It would be nice to see more photos.

Please try again at
jak.ish@verizon.net

I will reply ASAP after receiving it.
IF I don't reply, maybe my SPAM detector has lost it's mind.
In that case, please take a moment to Message me again on Find A Grave and I'll try to find out why I'm not getting your emails.

Thank you for the compliment. I spent decades doing technical writing in Aero Space and this is so much more fun.
Sincerely,
Kathleen

RE: Eddins Cemetery
Robin,

The stones I placed on Find A Grave are the only ones that I located. I visited the cemetery a number of years ago (before I knew about Find A Grave) and have no idea what it looks like today. There is supposedly another cemetery near this one off Leeville Pike and just north of Tucker's Gap, that has members of the Eddins family buried there. I need to get to that one and will try to this spring or summer. I live in Wilson County so let me know if you need others. Leslie Barrett

Esther Bird Perry
Robin, thanks to you and your husband for the photo, good memory and sharp eyes you have.

Actually I should have had her name as Esther rather than Hester, The marriage license shows Hester, but evidently the two names were used for her. The Cemetery Record shows Esther, most of my Perry genealogy refers to her as Hester, but the inscription that I have from some of the notes, from her orginal tombstone, says Esther, so Esther she will be. I will note on the memorial that she was also called Hester. I did change the name so now it agrees with the headstone.

While in GA, Burrell and Esther Bird sold some land
1850 in Davidson CO she was Esther. More than enought evidence to list her as Esther rather than Hester on the memorial.

Again, thanks

Marjorie

Ms. Carr, If someone has claimed a photo request, it is disrespectful to place a photo on the memorial. I take many photos in the cemeteries in Lebanon and take great care to take a good photo. I do not appreciate finding that you have posted photos that I have claimed.
