RE: William Waterbury
William Waterbury (born 18 July 1798) was the older half-brother of:
1. Jane E. Waterbury (born 1811), who married Silas Cable HOTCHKISS, and died at Lafayette, Tippecanoe County, Indiana in 1881.
2. Mary A. Waterbury (born c.1816), who married Caleb Pierson BALL, and died at Lafayette 1873-75.
3. David Waterbury (born 1824), unmarried, who died at Lafayette 1873.
I believe that the father of these individuals was Isaac WATERBURY, born at Stamford, Ct. 1769; he married (1st) 1789 Hannah SAUNDERS; (2nd) say, 1805, an unidentified wife; he was at Pound Ridge, Westchester County, NY from 1789-1813, then by 1820 at Chenango, Broome County, NY; he died at Oakland County, Michigan 1851, where he went to join his daughter Mehitabel (born c.1802), wife of Samuel ALLISON. I believe, but have not yet proven, that he was also the Isaac Waterbury at Cincinatti, Ohio from 1825 to 1844. If I am right, he was almost certainly the father of the four above.

There was no gravemarker, or anyway one that I could find, so I posted a picture of the gravesite. According to records there was a small funeral home marker there at one time but it is probably underground now. Date of birth was given as 1867.
