Bio and Links
Bio Photo My primary interest lies in the genealogy of the Bronson, Burzynski, Christensen, Hansen, Meredith, Mortensen, Scribbins and Zasacki families.

I am also inclined, on occasion, to research the people who have married into or were otherwise associated with those families. I am willing to share any genealogical information with those who have an interest.

Dora was my father's mother. I would enjoy hearing from any and all families connected to Dora.

Henry Scribbens Long 1850-1924
I'm researching Henry born April 2 1850 in Northfield, Cook, Illinois. According to our family bible Henry Scribben Long was adopted by John W Long 1798-1879 and Elizabeth Strangeway Long 1799-1877 in Cook County Illinois.

I think Thomas S Scribbens 1816-1878 and Jemima Fry 1818-1851 are his parents. Do you have any records of Henry's connection?

Thank you,
Linda

Hello Lon:

I called my step mom and she is not sure about Eva. (1892-1926) She said there was an aunt Eva she thought who was named after her great grandmother. But we are finding Emma.

The family names are Schoenfeldt, Markuson, Paulson, Jensen, Robbins & Drake. Of course the Norwegian names could be spelled in several ways. I did find an Ava Markuson but the dates aren't right.

I don't know if the cemetery or historical society would have additional info on her. I've called before to the number listed for the cemetery and found I was referred to a parks and recreation number of sorts. I took a while for them to return my call, not easy with my being on PST.

I've done about all I can do from this end. I appreciate your help as I know it is getting cold out there. Don't turn into a snowman on our account.

Warm thoughts coming your way. Could you take the pic anyway and let us see it? You could email me. Mom said there is supposed to be one more space and that's to go to one daughter who is still alive, living here in California.

Thanks again,
Molly

There is an Emma Ivy as displayed here. She may have married. Often they dropped the t at the end of Schoenfeldt..........

What more info do you want?

Molly
If I find more info, I'll get it to you..

I'll ask my step mom as these are all her parents and grandparents. I know she had plenty of aunts and uncles too.....

I'd have to get back to you on that....
It's Eva and not Emma???

Hello Lon: I'm watching you upload our family pics from Shawano. This side of the family lives on the west coast and have never been able to visit these gravesites.

Thank you so much for your time. I guess you were out there this week?
