Thank goodness you photographed those stones before time/vandals/developments destroyed them. I have been trying so hard to find that one name that will link my Knowles line to yours. Your line is in my tree from marriages to wife in Georgia, but I cannot find a Knowles connection. But I have enjoyed seeing all your fabulous photos, links and info that may one day lead to that one missing name. My Knowles line goes back to Washington Knowles in Duplin County, NC where the family grew, moved to GA, then Florida.

I inherited a packet of research relating back to James Knowles and Patience Marvel Knowles who came to Gibson County, IN from Delaware and Georgia. If this is your family I would be happy to send you a copy of this info. It is extracted from "A Few Notes on Richard Knowles of Delaware" prepared by Forman E Knowles.

Wow this find just verified much of the information I had on my Knowles line.

It is great that you found the Knowles family cemetery and transcribed it. What a wonderful find! James Knowles is my 6th great grandfather. So many of the really old family graves are lost to time and the elements. Thanks again for taking the time and doing your hard work. Jack
