On 6/6/1861 he mustered into "Batty A" Co. RI 1st Light Artillery
He was Mustered Out on 6/6/1864 at Portsmouth Grove, RI
He was listed as:
* Wounded 7/3/1863 Gettysburg, PA (Absent sick in hospital until discharge)
* Corpl 1/15/1863 (Estimated day)

Just noticed you found several requests for this cemetery, and I was very happy about that, I live in Smithville and in the past have taken the time to drive out into Clinton co and work this cemetery. Since it is out of the way for me can I hope that you are closer and will cover this cemetery...????

I am looking for my GGGGrandfather, James L. James, who left the farm in NC and went west in 1851-1852 to find better land. He was never heard from again.
